Note | The Goshen-Little North Mountain WMA's are primarily mountainous forest land that totals nearly 34,000 acres in Augusta and Rockbridge Counties. The Little North Mountain WMA follows the narrow ridge of its namesake for approximately 18 miles, while the Goshen WMA is concentrated in one large block south of Route 39 in Rockbridge County and encompasses 3 major mountains. The Maury River near Goshen, VA separates these two WMA's. Elevations range from 1,326 feet to 3,400 feet. The WMA's are accessible by seasonally opened roads, while more remote areas area accessed by foot travel only. |
